My goal is to help you identify quality children's books which your children will actually enjoy reading. If they don't like the book, they aren't going to read it.
When choosing books, please take the
gender, age and reading level into consideration.
I may give a certain book a 5 rating for 8 to 10-year-old girls who can read at at least a 4th grade reading level. A 6-year-old girl who is just learning to read might hate this book! For children who are still learning to read, it is important that a book be at or below this child's reading level. If a child has to struggle with the text, he is probably not going to enjoy the book.
